One of the questions I get asked the most is, “what’s your hair routine?” So, I’m breaking it down for you step by step. Healthy hair doesn’t start with what you put on the outside, it begins with what you nourish your body with, how you care for your scalp, and the routines you practice consistently.
My favorite ways to support my hair are through scalp serums, non toxic products and supplements.

You’ve been along with me on this hair growth journey, and I’m so grateful for the encouragement and questions along the way. If you want to dive deeper into the details of my post-alopecia hair growth story, you can read that here!
SCALP MASSAGES
I start with regular scalp massages using rosemary oil. This isn’t just relaxing, it stimulates blood flow to the scalp, which helps bring more nutrients to your hair follicles and encourages growth.

RED LIGHT THERAPY
Red light therapy is one of my favorite tools for cellular rejuvenation. It helps reduce inflammation, boost circulation, and support hair follicle health from the inside out.

COLLAGEN + AMINO ACIDS
Hair is made up of keratin, a protein that needs amino acids to thrive. I sip collagen-rich bone broth and add in amino acids to my routine for that internal support.

DIVI SCALP SERUM
Divi’s Scalp Serum is a game-changer. Formulated with clean, effective ingredients like copper peptides and rosemary extract, it nourishes the scalp and promotes thicker, healthier growth. (Use code DRCOURTNEY for 20% off.)
ARMRA COLOSTRUM
I’ve also been using ARMRA Colostrum to support my hair growth. It strengthens your barriers, optimizes your microbiome, and activates cellular health—plus, the peach persimmon flavor is my favorite!

Outside of supplements and serums, I’ve learned that what I eat makes such a difference in my hair health. Focusing on high-protein meals and nutrient-dense foods gives my hair the building blocks it needs to grow stronger and healthier.
Honestly, The Green Door Life program was such a turning point for me. It helped me shift the way I looked at fueling my body and gave me simple, sustainable ways to actually get more protein and nutrients in. That change has supported not just my overall health, but also my hair growth in such a noticeable way.
For the curls:
Since my hair is naturally curly, my routine shifts depending on how I style it. When I’m wearing it curly, I keep it simple with my go-to products: Divi Volumizing Shampoo + Conditioner, Innersense Gel, Innerpeace Texture Cream, a lightweight styling foam, and a finishing hairspray. These keep my curls hydrated, defined, and frizz-free. If you want to see exactly how I use them, I put together a curly hair reel on walking through the full process and products.
For a rare straight look:
If I decide to dry my hair straight (which is hardly ever), I always protect it first. I use the Hair Love Prep Spray because it shields my hair from heat without weighing it down.
And let’s talk about my Dyson hair dryer. It’s an investment and absolutely *worth it*. I love it because it helps protect my hair from excessive heat damage while still getting the job done quickly. Plus, it has a diffuser attachment that’s perfect when I want to dry my curls without disturbing their natural shape.
When Rosie wants curls, I love using this crimper. It’s such an easy way to give her soft, bouncy waves, and it only takes a few minutes. Perfect for when she’s in the mood for something fun without spending a lot of time on her hair.

Confession: I only wash my hair about every 8–9 days.
On wash day, my current go-to is Divi’s Volumizing shampoo + conditioner. I also love rotating Innersense shampoo and conditioner, every other wash. This keeps my scalp balanced and my curls happy without buildup.
The in-between days are all about curl maintenance. I’ll refresh my curls with a light hair spray or curl spray to revive the shape and keep everything looking fresh without having to start over.
At the end of the day, my hair routine is a balance of internal nourishment, scalp health, and clean, effective products that support my curls. It doesn’t have to be complicated, just consistent.
If you’ve been struggling with hair health, start by supporting your scalp and nourishing your body from the inside out.
And remember, consistency matters way more than perfection here.
